Hội An – A Colorful Gem in Central Vietnam

After wrapping up our adventures in Northern Vietnam, we decided to make our way to the charming town of Hội An.

Nestled along the coast of the South China Sea in Central Vietnam, Hoi An (in Vietnamese: Hội An) is a small yet vibrant city that stands out as one of the most colorful and unique destinations in the country.
Despite its modest size, it draws in countless travelers thanks to its irresistible charm.

Hội An is renowned for its laid-back vibe, delicious cuisine, beautiful beaches, historical landmarks, lively nightlife, and of course, plenty of shopping opportunities.

✈️ How to Get to Hoi An

We took a short 1 hour and 20 minutes flight from Hanoi to Da Nang International Airport. From there, it’s just a 45 minutes taxi ride to Hội An.

  • Coolest months: December and January
  • Monsoon season: Starts in September with heavy rains, typhoons, and flooding
  • Peak travel season: February to May — ideal weather with minimal rainfall and pleasant temperatures
